Aerospace Industries Association of Canada

AIAC advocates for aerospace policy issues that have a direct impact on aerospace companies and jobs in Canada. Member companies are global leaders in the aircraft business, avionics, business jets, commercial helicopters, aircraft engines, flight simulation, landing gear and space systems.

 

Automotive Industries Association of Canada

AIA is the national trade association representing the automotive aftermarket industry in Canada. The aftermarket is composed of companies that manufacture, distribute and install automotive replacement parts, accessories, tools, and equipment. AIA’s mandate is to promote, educate and represent its members in all areas that impact the growth and prosperity of the industry.

 

Association of Independent Corrugated Converters Canada


AICC Canada represents corrugated packaging manufacturers and their suppliers. For more than 35 years, AICC Canada has been dedicated to strengthening the independent’s position in the marketplace that empowers its members to compete in a rapidly changing industry and global business environment.

 

Aluminum Association of Canada

The Aluminum Association of Canada represents the country’s three aluminum producers: Alcoa, Aluminerie Alouette, and Rio Tinto Alcan. Together, these companies operate 10 aluminum smelters in Canada, nine of which are in Quebec, where the companies employ more than 10,000 people.

 

Association of Canadian Distillers (Spirits Canada)

 

Spirits Canada is the only national trade association representing the interests of Canadian Spirits manufacturers. Spirits manufacturing consists of mashing, fermenting and distilling quality cereal grains sourced from local farmers.

 

BIOTECanada

 

 

BIOTECanada works to provide solutions to the challenges faced by biotech firms today and to get the domestic and international community to recognize the value of biotechnology. BIOTECanada has more than 250 members, representing companies from the health, industrial, and agricultural sectors.

 

Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries

CADSI has more than 860 member companies that contribute more than $10 billion dollars to the Canadian economy every year. The Association strengthens the relationship and dialogue between government and its industries and maximizes the contribution its members can make to national defence and security.

 

Canadian Association of Moldmakers

 

CAMM was established in 1981 to advocate on behalf of moldmakers, designers, manufacturers, suppliers, and service companies across Canada and North America. CAMM addresses issues that affect moldmaking companies in such matters as global and legislative issues, new technology and education, and training programs.

 

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers

CAPP is the voice of Canada’s upstream oil and natural gas industry. Representing a membership that generates about $101 billion a year in national revenue and produces close to 80% of Canada’s oil and natural gas, CAPP helps advocate for economic competitiveness and for a safe, environmentally and socially responsible industry.

 

Canadian Consumer Specialty Products Association

Since 1958, CCSPA has been representing companies that manufacture, market, process, package and distribute consumer, industrial and institutional specialty products. With annual exports of more than $1 billion, CCSPA has 45 member companies in 120 facilities across the nation.

 

Canadian Corrugated and Containerboard Association

The CCSA (formerly Paper Packaging Canada) advances policies that promote a strong and sustainable paper packaging industry in the global marketplace. The association is building on its current statistical programs, providing members with access to a broad range of reports with critical market information.

 

Canadian Die Casters Association

CDSA holds a membership consisting of major metal die casters operating plants in Canada. The association assists and represents Canadian die casters in dealing with government and other interested parties on industry-specific issues by communicating information to members to help them remain competitive.

 

Fertilizer Canada

Fertilizer Canada represents manufacturers, wholesale and retail distributors of nitrogen, phosphate and potash fertilizers. It promotes safe, responsible, and sustainable, globally competitive fertilizer production, distribution and use.

 

Canadian Fluid Power Association

CFPA works for its members to promote fluid power technology and applications and educate the marketplace of its benefits. With members like Arrow Fluid Dynamics, BDI Canada Inc. and Design Product News, CFPA provides a forum for the exchange of information on all subjects of common interest to members and develops standards of performance and procedures for testing.

 

Canadian Foundry Association

The Canadian Foundry Association is the national voice for the foundry association, assisting and representing its members to deal with government on industry-specific issues and areas of common interest. CFA gathers information and initiates programs that assist members in strengthening their competitive positions.

 

Canadian Fuels Association

The CFA represents the industry that supplies 95 per cent of Canada’s transportation fuels. The CFA is uniquely positioned as experts on the complex issues surrounding Canada’s transportation fuels future.

 

Canadian Generic Pharmaceutical Association

The CGPA represents the Canadian-based generic pharmaceutical industry: a dynamic group of companies specializing in the production of high quality, affordable generic drugs, fine chemicals and new chemical entities. The industry provides safe, proven alternatives to more expensive brand name prescription drugs.

 

Canadian Home Products Trade Association

Since 1968, CHPTA (formerly the Canadian Hardware and Housewares Manufacturers Association) has advocated for its 200-plus members, hosted numerous business functions, social events and networking opportunities that have brought significant value to its members. Member companies, like Philips Lighting and Bissell Canada Corporation, manufacture and distribute hardware and housewares products.

 

Canadian Institute of Steel Construction

CISC promotes good design and safety, as well as the efficient, economical and sustainable use of structural steel. Its wide array of members include companies like Eskimo Steel Ltd. and C.W. Carry (1967) Ltd.

 

Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters

CME is Canada’s largest trade and industry association and the voice of manufacturing and global business in Canada. CME directly represents more than 10,000 leading companies nationwide. Its membership network accounts for an estimated 82 per cent of Canadian manufacturing production and 90 per cent of goods and services exports.

 

Canadian Nuclear Association

CNA is a non-profit organization established in 1960 to represent the nuclear industry in Canada and promote the development and growth of nuclear technologies for peaceful purposes.

 

Canadian Paint and Coatings Association

Since 1913, CPCA has represented Canada’s major paint and coatings manufacturers, and their industry suppliers and distributors in three primary product categories: architectural paints, industrial products and automotive coatings. In Canada, CPCA members have more than 261 paint manufacturing establishments, own more than 3,000 retail outlets, supply products to another 4,000 retail stores, more than 5,000 auto body shops as well as the large OEM manufacturers of automobiles, planes and other heavy equipment. This represents annual retail sales of more than $10 billion, employing directly and indirectly 31,800 employees.

 

Canadian Printing Industries Association

CPIA is the national voice of the pre-press, press and allied printing industries in Canada. Since 1939, the association has served as the collective body to represent the interests of its member firms, like Informco, PDI Inc. and Unicom Graphics, for policy formation, regulation and legislation.

 

Canadian Steel Producers Association

The CSPA is the voice of Canada’s $12-14 billion steel producing industry. Its key markets include automotive, construction, energy extraction and transmission, packaging, and other demanding manufacturing applications. The member companies that operate in eight provinces produced over 13 million metric tons of steel in 2010.

Canadian Textile Industry Association

Established in 2009, CTIA represents the Canadian textile industry in Ottawa, advocating and influencing government policy affecting the sector. The association provides a means for collective industry action on policy issues, ensuring the industry’s views are known at the earliest possible stages when those views can make a difference.

 

Canadian Tooling & Machining Association


The CTMA, incorporated in 1963, represents and promotes the interests of the Canadian tooling and machining industry both nationally and internationally. The industry includes the designing, manufacturing, assembling and repairing of tools, dies, moulds, jigs, fixtures, precision machined parts, special purpose machines, cutting tools and more.

Canadian Transportation Equipment Association

 

CTEA is designed to represent the commercial and vocational vehicle manufacturing sector, including its dealer distributors, component manufacturers and associate service providers, in their interest to serve the Canadian market.

 

Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association


CVMA represents the country’s largest manufacturers of light and heavy-duty motor vehicles. Membership companies include Chrysler Canada Inc., Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited, and General Motors of Canada. It provides research, information, and advocacy to build a better understanding of the importance of a healthy automotive industry.

 

Cement Association of Canada

 

CAC’s membership consists of eight companies with clinker and cement manufacturing facilities, granulators, grinding facilities and cement terminals. It facilitates member, concrete allies and stakeholder relations, provides industry and technical support, market development and economic information.

Chemistry Industry Association of Canada


CIAC is the voice of Canada’s business of chemistry. The Association represents over 50 companies and Responsible Care® partners ranging from 50 to 2,000 employees operating in the chemistry industry.

Canadian Consumer Health Products Canada

Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada is the leading voice uniting companies, large and small, that provide access to the food, health, and consumer products Canadians rely on every day. These products are fixtures in kitchens, pantries, and medicine cabinets across the country.

Electro-Federation Canada


Together, EFC’s four councils represent over 330 member companies that manufacture, distribute and service electrical and electronics products in Canada. Products manufactured, distributed and serviced by members include household appliances, lighting, consumer electronics, communications and electronic equipment, cabling, industrial equipment, and many others.

 

TECHNATION Canada

TECHNATION Canada (formerly Information Technology Association of Canada) is the voice of the Canadian information and communications technologies industry, representing a diverse community spanning telecommunications and internet services. These include consulting services, hardware, microelectronics, software and electronic content.

 

Research Canada

As the voice of Canada’s medical technology companies, Research Canada (formerly MEDEC) is committed to effective advocacy through leadership and engagement. In delivering this mission, MEDEC represents the key interests of its members and is a trusted resource to influential stakeholders.

 

Metals Service Center Institute


MSCI supports and represents most elements of the metals value chain, including metals producers, distributors, and processors and, to a lesser extent, the interests of metals users. MSCI has more than 400 members operating from about 1,500 locations in the US, Canada and Mexico.

 

Work Truck Association


NTEA represents companies in the US, Canada and five other countries that manufacture, distribute, install, sell and repair commercial trucks, truck bodies, truck equipment, trailers and accessories. Buyers of work trucks and the major commercial truck chassis manufacturers also belong to the NTEA. The Association provides in-depth technical information, education, and member programs and services, and produces The Work Truck Show®.

 

Precision Machine Products Association

PMPA is a North American precision machining trade association that provides the critical information and services to its member companies who make precision engineered, often safety critical components for automotive, aerospace, medical, electrical machinery, fluid power, and other industries. We provide information on a wide variety of technical, operational, financial, and regulatory subjects including safety and environment.

 

Railway Association of Canada


RAC advocates for and represents the key commuter, goods, tourist and intercity Canadian Rail businesses as well as a growing number of Associate Members in the rail supply and industrial rail operator sectors. Member railways include Amtrak, ArcelorMittal Mines Canada, CN and VIA Rail Canada Inc.
