Manufacturing our future: An action plan for Canada

Dear colleagues,

In the spring of 2012, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME), in collaboration with Food & Consumer Products of Canada (FCPC) and BDO Canada, polled its membership as part of the bi-annual Management Issues Survey. In total, we received 649 responses from companies right across the country. On Thursday, October 18, at a press conference on Parliament Hill, we released the results of the survey.

We want to thank all those who took the time to provide a submission; your input and guidance ensures that the Canadian Manufacturing Coalition (CMC) continues to take action on the business issues that matter most to you.

Based on your input to the survey, CMC met with 55 Members of Parliament, including eight Ministers, and senior policy advisors from seven ministries through a roundtable with the Prime Minister’s Office, to advocate for a manufacturing action plan for Canada.

Thank you again for your ongoing support of CMC and its mandate. Please feel free to contact the CMC team if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Jayson Myers
Chairman, Canadian Manufacturing Coalition
